Two students share their music taste and favorite artists
“I’m an old country type person. So, probably some of my favorites are like Tim McGraw, George Strait,” Junior Sophie Storm said. “I don’t like newer stuff. I like their older stuff way better. A lot of the newer stuff, I’m just not a fan of,”
While some prefer the classics, others find themselves drawn to different genres, exploring a wide range of sounds.
“Right now I’d say probably modern baseball, or I’m really liking Tiger’s jaw. My current favorite would definitely be Santana. I like the lyrics. I like the riffs. They’re fun to play on instruments and stuff. And Santana’s music is just crazy. It’s awesome,”

said.
While some enjoy newer, less mainstream music, others have strong opinions about what’s currently popular.
“I really dislike radio music. Everything that’s on the radio. A lot of people would be like, ‘oh, I listen to everything but country.’ But some country can be really good, but radio country sucks. Radio music is just overly played and too mainstream,” Hansen said.
While some enjoy newer, less mainstream music, others have strong opinions about what’s currently popular.
“I’m usually open to all kinds of music. I don’t really dislike any music. I’m not big on some of the newer pop. I just don’t like how they sing it sometimes like Sabrina Carpenter and all those new ones, but I’ll still listen to their stuff,” Storm said.
