MHS student shares how he feels on the use of AI

Riley Harris shares how he feels about the use of AI.

Junior Riley Harris  believes there are certain benefits of using AI in school work in the future, but it won’t just be beneficial for students.

“I think it’s a fine line between being used it as a tool and being used to cheat,” junior Riley Harris said.

Harris explained how he thinks artificial intelligence can be used as a tool in school work, but is often abused as a method to cheat.

“AI is becoming more and more of a Google,” Harris said. “Like for example I remember my dad telling me stories of how google wasn’t even allowed to be used in his school until pretty late.”

Most students now use Google in school work now that it is allowed, so he thinks maybe that is what will happen with AI in schools as time goes on.

“A lot of people are using it just to help cheat,”  Harris said. “But I think that as we go forward teachers and students will learn to better adapt to it.”

Many students can use AI to write them an essay they didn’t even try to write.
