How does the student section influence the game? Michael Willams said, “Without the student section there is no real feel to the game. When there’s not much people the energy in the stadium just goes down and it’s hard give the team extra motivation.” The student section provides the feel in the gym and the mood and intensity of the game.

What is your favorite part of the student section? “Some of my favorite things about the student section is being able to be so close to the players, It also really fun to mess with the opposing teams players while they are doing there warm ups and in the game, and doing all of the
chants. But the best of all is definitely seeing our team absolutely dominate the opposing teams, also the
numa numa is legendary because of all the people that get involved in the chant and the historic
background that that chant has with our school, ” said Mike.

Max Thueson also said this about the students influence, “I think the student section influences the game because with a good crowd we can get it very loud and make the other team lose focus and we are very positive with our team and help them focus and track runners. The energy that it brings helped the Madison players to preform because we hype them up and keep them going. Also we can get into the other team’s head and mess them up.”

The student section is a huge part of the game and massively influences the score and the intensity of the teams. I know with soccer a good student can completely change the game and how we perform. Without the students then there is no atmosphere or anything pushing you and they really are the reason why high school sports are so much fun to attend.
