The Students beat the Teachers 22-12 on Thursday, January 9 in the annual Teachers v. Students basketball game. The Teachers had won every game for the last 9 years but the
Students finally ended their streak.

The game started with the students coming out hot with Tanner Scott draining a 3 on the Student’s first possession. Multiple offensive boards from Bryce Dredge helped the students start quickly and strong as they kept made the lead larger with every possession.

The Teachers began to come back with some sub changes with Mr. Reeves hitting a nasty hook shot over Michael Williams.

Leading up to the half the Students started to pull away going on a run to pull further away from the Teachers.

Mckay Manner had some amazing defense against the Teachers making sure that they didn’t score.

Tanner Scott’s early 3-pointer and Bryce Dredge’s work on the boards set the tone for the game.

Despite a strong comeback attempt by the Teachers they just couldn’t pull it off.

Leading up to the game Manner said, ”They weren’t ready for us.”

Overall the Teachers lost their 9-year streak, Mr. Lambson missed his dunk, and the Students performed great.
