One Person Can Make a Difference
This Wednesday at the spring sports assembly at Madison High school, Sage Hall(10) was brought to the gym floor in front of all her fellow students to receive a couple small gift cards from Nate Eaton and East Idaho news for some of the good she’s done to her friends and everyone at the high school. Saige celebrated her big 16th birthday this past month. She had written over 100 positive and loving notes to her friends Abby Blackham and Emmie Blackham during this school year and that really stood out to these students and they wanted to thank her, but in a special way.
“Abby and Emmie emailed me several weeks ago about Sage and it stood out to me, because not a lot of kids email me so I thought it was very cool,” Nate Eaton(Reporter for East Idaho News) said.
Sage suffers from autism but that doesn’t stop her from spreading her natural goodness around the school and community.
“I think a lot of people will be touched by this story, not even those just in Eastern Idaho, but people all around the world.”
Teachers and students could both agree that there was a special feeling in that gym on Wednesday without a doubt.
“Knowing that one person can make a difference no matter who they are or what limitations they have is huge and Saige did a great job of showing that,” Nate Eaton said.
