Madison Debaters Dominate at Nat Quals

Qualifying for nationals may seem impossible, but through hard work, dedication and perseverance, eight Madison debaters made it a dream come true. On Feb.18-20, the annual National Qualifying tournament was held at Madison High School.
Qualifiers/Events:
Camille Garner- double qualified in Public Forum debate (with Isiac Orr) and Original Oratory speaking.
Isiac Orr- double qualified in Public Forum debate (with Camille Garner) and Extemporaneous speaking.
Sam Hancock- double qualified in POI speaking and Congress.
Ryan Kinville- double qualified in Duo Interpretation (with Ben Black) and POI speaking.
Holden d’Evegnee- qualified in Lincoln Douglas debate.
Jonathan Pulsipher- qualified in Lincoln Douglas debate.
Joseph Dummar- qualified in Informative speaking.
Ben Black- qualified in Duo Interpretation (with Ryan Kinville)
Alternates:
Miriam Gwilliam- First alternate in Congress.
Hannah Armstrong- Third alternate in Humorous Interpretation.
Kennalee Orme- Second alternate in Duo Interpretation (with Emily Oliphant).
Emily Oliphant- Second alternate in Duo Interpretation (with Kennalee Orme).
