East Coast Trip
This year, students at MHS are getting the opportunity to go on a trip to the East Coast and visit many historical sites. Mr. Lambson and Mr. Stewart are in charge of the trip and have already had a couple of meetings talking about the trip. The three main cities that they will be visiting are Boston, New York, and Washington D.C.
“We have the opportunity, It’s confirmed now [that we get] to go to the East Coast and go on a historical tour from Boston to Washington D.C. [We are] stopping at all the important sites,” said Mr. Lambson.
The East Coast is a hot spot for a lot of important sites for America’s history. There is the Old North Church in Boston, the 9/11 memorial in New York, the White House and Capitol Building in DC, and so many more. Many students around the United States hope they can have the chance to go.
“Go on it if you have the chance, save up as much money as you can because it’s the best. You won’t be able to go on anything like it,” said Senior Zoe Sloop.
Luckily, students at Madison have the opportunity to go on this trip this Spring.
“We’re going to go see different historical monuments. We’re going to put a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, we’re going to see the Holocaust Museum, the World Trade Center Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial and things like that,” said Senior William Cole.
All of these places are important parts of our history, each giving a different view.
If you would like to go on the trip, talk to Mr. Stewart or Mr. Lambson, and they can get you started on what you need to do to go on the trip.
