Respecting the President
Every 4 years, we go to the polls to decide who runs our country. Sometimes, our leaders get elected again because they were really popular the first time around. For other presidents, not so much. No matter what, some people will not agree with everything the president does. Considering that, some people still think that we should honor and respect the president.
“He’s still our president, and he’s trying to do the best he can for our country,” Junior Kenna Woodfield said.
Students try to look past the person, and instead respect the often difficult position that presidency can hold.
“I think we should because he’s the president and he’s the one protecting (our laws),” Senior Grant Waldron said.
Students find it also important to show patriotism and support for our country. They find it important to join together as a nation for the common good.
“I think that even if you don’t like his policies or him as a person you should respect the fact that he’s our president and he’s leading our country and you should support him no matter what to show unity in our nation,” Senior Chloe Miller said.
