Rexburg’s Rad Restaurants
In the upcoming weeks, many new food options will open in Rexburg. Options like family owned Righteous Slice, and nationwide franchise Five Guys Burgers and Fries are opening early this next week.
“We’re just bringing authentic, Italian pizza to Rexburg,” Senior Andrew Crawford, whose family owns the Righteous Slice, said. “We hand make pretty much everything there. Our ingredients are usually locally sourced or imported from Europe.”
Next door to the Righteous Slice, is Five Guys, opening soon as well.
“Five guys is really famous for using Idaho potatoes nationwide,” Junior employee Matthew DeGraw said. “They are also famous for some of their burgers, some of them are really good.”
With all these options, it’s possible that competition between these many restaurants may exist. Senior Avery Stoddard, whose family owns the newly opened Big Teriyaki Bowl, doesn’t think so.
“I feel like they are different foods so it’s not really competition necessarily, otherwise everything would be direct competition,” Stoddard said.
Five Guys and Righteous Slice can be found on West Second South, across from Kiwi Loco, while the Big Teriyaki Bowl is located on Main Street.
