Wrestling in MHS
Everyone has their own sport or activity they like to do. Some like football others like volleyball but for some students at MHS they like to wrestle.
“I like wrestling because when there is a tournament we all get to leave, and I really like having fun on the bus with the boys. When I get ready I always jam out to some old school rap,” Sophomore Jorge Diaz said.
Just like other sports, every new year comes bringing a new wrestling season. And the wrestlers take it seriously. Some would consider them to be more serious than other sports teams.
“My favorite part of wrestling is the intensity the individual matches, and the tournaments. My favorite part of the tournaments is probably being able to try as hard as you can to succeed,” Sophomore Kekoa Jensen said.
Wrestlers face other challenges from other teams
“Our hardest team to beat is either Blackfoot or Bonneville. The best way for me to get pumped up is to play games and listen to music,” Jensen said.
