Express Yourself

MHS offers a wide variety of fine arts classes available, for the students, to take. Students get to show their creative side and express themselves in a way they can’t in other classes.

“I like art because it gives me a way to express myself like I can’t do in any other course,” Senior Debra Williams said.

The creativity you get to experience is a fun alternative to the other courses at MHS

 “I really like the creativity, that you get to mess around with, and you don’t have specific assignments or specific stuff you have to do. You get to kind of do what you want,” Sophomore Kameron Meeker said.

Mr Lauritsen appreciates the students he teaches. He understands that art is a way to express yourself, while also working hard, and learning to solve problems.

“The thing I like the most about teaching are the students, themselves, and their willingness to work so hard. I also just love the subject that I teach. I think that the classes help students with problem solving. It helps them learn to make their own choices and it works their brain in ways that other classes can’t,” Mr Lauritsen said.
