By setting up for Christmas to prepare for the holidays, MHS students follow through with traditions and put up Christmas decorations right after Thanksgiving.

With Christmas approaching, students share what they do to start and prepare for the holiday times.

“We put up a Christmas clock that every hour does Christmas songs, and instead of doing presents, we go on a family trip,” Senior Brooke Littlefield said.

As students prepare for the holidays, they explain what they do to set up on Christmas day.

“We usually put the Netflix fireplace on and then hang the stockings on the TV,” Junior Victoria Ivie said.

While some have more traditional approaches to the Christmas season, few people have more unique traditions that are tailored to their family.

“My mom always buys the boys underwear, and we have to try them on and show them in front of her,” Sophomore Trey Holloway said.

In all, Christmas is a time for holiday joy and spirit that shows what Christmas means to them by decorating and following through with family traditions.
