What’s in the Backpack?
MHS students tell all about the essentials they keep in their backpacks so they can survive the school day.
“I obviously keep the essentials in my backpack like textbooks, pencils, and pens. But I also keep a sketchbook because sometimes I get bored and I rather doodle than pay attention in class. I keep tights in my backpack because sometimes in the middle of school I just want to wear tights,” Senior Anna Shirley said.
“I have lots of food. For example gobstoppers, a cheese stick, cheerios, a granola bar, animal crackers, fruit snacks, and pretzels. I have my two notebooks, three folders, and my math book,” Senior Korryn Gulley said.
“I always have chapstick, perfume, and something weird I guess is I always have something for basketball. Sometimes it’s socks or spandex I can use for practice that day,” Senior Brielle Hammond said.
“I keep very important things like English papers and homework. I keep exercise clothes in my backpack so I can work out after school. I have a portable charger so I can charge my phone when it dies,” Junior Robby South said.
