FCCLA Hosts Gravity Factory Fundraiser
This year, on November 2nd, the Madison FCCLA Club is hosting their fundraiser at Gravity Factory to raise money for their trips to Nationals, and State, as well as their other FCCLA activities.
“We’re doing a Madison Day fundraiser where when you come in and buy your pass to jump or to do the dodgeball they’re donating a certain amount of money to the FCCLA club. So there will be a dodgeball tournament that night at 8 o’clock and the fundraiser will go all day long,” Senior Nohea Jensen said.
The number of people per team can run from 4 to 9 people, and each group makes their own team and enters themselves before the competition on Thursday night.
“You can just go jump for ten dollars from 7 till the dodgeball tournament is done and you don’t have to pay extra. We’re having a fundraiser jar for people who don’t have to pay to just watch the dodgeball game and people that support our cause,” Junior Trin Lage said.
The tournament doesn’t just end on the night of November 2nd. The other schools are also doing similar tournaments and will have another competition in December.
“If you win the dodgeball tournament on Thursday then you would play again in December against all of the other teams. I think there’s Sugar and Rigby and a whole bunch of Idaho Falls schools all doing their fundraiser, and then the winner of their teams come and play together to see who has the best team,” Junior Mataya Weaver said.
