Our Plans After High School
Most of the MHS football players don’t actually plan on playing football after high school because they have other plans.
“After high school I’m done. I’m gonna serve an LDS mission, and then I want to go and become a plastic surgeon and probably go to the University of Utah,” Senior Hunter Lewis said.
Like Lewis lots of our players plan on a mission. Some of our players are just done after high school, other players want to find colleges with a football team.
“I’m either gonna play college football, serve a LDS mission, or try to get an academic scholarship. I would go to Arizona State because they have a good business college, and a good college football team,” Junior Jordan Porter said.
Although Porter is our starting quarterback, he isn’t sure if football will be a part of his future. Most of the football players aren’t sure how their lives are gonna turn out, but they know what the want.
“After high school I’m gonna work the summer and then go on a mission. Then when I get back go to college. See if there’s any football opportunities anywhere, if they have them. Then get married and raise a family. I want to be a nurse anesthetists. We put people out you know,” Senior Coy Backstein said.
