MHS Students Drool Over the New iPhone

The new iPhone 8 is coming out, along with the iPhone X handset and iPhone 8 Plus. Usually Apple comes out with one phone at a time but this year it’s different.

“The iPhone is going to cost $1000,” Junior Ryan Erickson said.

Online you can find the phone ranging from $800-$1000. This will be Apple’s most expensive phone yet. It depends what iPhone you get (iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 plus) and how many GB you get.

There are lots of changes coming with the new iPhone 8. They are also keeping changes from past phones.

“They’re still going to get rid of the earphone jack, and they’re getting rid of the button and just having it be a sensor,” Junior Jakob Kunz said.

Following the expectation of new technology releases for the iPhone 8, Apple will have fixes and improved graphics for the new release. Apple has chosen to innovate their screen for the release and use of their new graphics.

“I know that it has a full screen display and they have OLCD display instead. The phones they have now are just LCD but now they’re like OLCD it has brighter resolution and better graphics,” Junior Parker Ballard said.

This will be one of the most drastic changes Apple has made to their products. With the iPhone no longer having a plugged in charger it can charge on the charging mat that works with wireless charging. The phone is compatible charging with the Qi charging systems that are compatible with most other wireless devices from other companies.

“It’s going to have wireless charging like the Samsungs have,” Junior Parker Ballard said.
