Students Create Art at MHS
By Camryn Burrell, Katie Winfree, and Symphony Hammond
Art is one of the many elective classes at MHS that let students express their personality and creativity.
“I’m in ceramics because I like to use my mind to be creative and create new things,” Junior McCall Dewey said. “Right now we’re making a head rattle, almost. It’s hollow.”
Ceramics allows student’s imaginations become a reality and helps their creativity flow.
“I like being able to take things that are in my brain and make something out of it,” Senior Adam Johnson said. “A Lot of the things I do that I like are kind of just accidents. Right now I’m making a ceramic thing. It’s like a head with a face on it and it’s got beads inside.”
