Sonic Sweets and Treat
The scoop on Rexburg’s new tots and shake place
by Julianna Short, Brooke Hammond, and Sommer Waldron
America’s Drive-In is back in Rexburg and better than ever. With the absence of Sonic for so long, many people have been itching to get a taste of what it is like once again.
Sonic opened September 5th after the town had been without the drive in for six long years. Junior Jessica Anderson, who is currently employed at Rexburg’s Sonic has given us details on how this burger and shake joint has been going crazy the past few weeks.
“Sonic is busiest around dinner time and 8 p.m., sometimes 10 p.m. too,” Anderson said.
With Sonic’s wide menu of shakes, burgers, tots and dogs, there is always a general favorite. Wild Berry Lavender shakes are a crowd favorite, and any hamburger with mozzarella sticks are always a hit.
Just like working at any place, there are always positives and negatives about a job.
“The people at Sonic are fun to work with and I love talking to all the people that come in. My least favorite thing is probably working five days out of the week,” Anderson said.
If you haven’t already, go checkout the new Sonic in town on 210 N 2nd E. Rexburg.
