There are many different clubs to join in high school. One club you can join at Madison High is the Meme Team. The meme team was started by Duncan McDougal. It’s a club where people get together to create memes. A meme is a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc. that is copied, (usually with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users.

“[Memes] are a way to break the ice,” said Mr.Scherbel, the advisor of the club.

This group of students is using something that they enjoy to spread more positivity across the school.

“I like that it’s creative, and that someone is taking the initiative to do something good,” said Scherbel.

Their purpose is to come together to entertain and help other people. They are planning to meet with each other to create memes to advertise for the other clubs.

“We want to make people laugh,” said McDougal.
This club is oozing with positivity. They are helping the other clubs in the school by advertising for them, while making other students laugh, and brightening everyone’s day.
