Madison FFA Student elected state FFA Vice President

The Madison FFA Chapter attended the 2016 Idaho FFA State Leadership Conference (SLC) on the 5th of April in Twin Falls. The students competed in various Career Development Events (CDE’s) shown below.
Another competition that isn’t listed is the State Officer Sifting for the new 2016-2017 Idaho FFA State Officer Team. This competition included scenario interviews, personal evaluation, producing a leadership workshop, preparing and delivering a speech, and working well with a team of individuals from all sides of the state.
Seniors Faustin Wood and Kaylie Rasmussen went through 4 full days of these stressful interviews. That Saturday, Wood was selected as Idaho FFA Vice President to serve the Organization for the next 12 months.
This position provides unique opportunities like meeting with Idaho’s Legislators, company CEO’s, and other important figures. The officer team with students from around the state will have the chance to travel to Alaska, Washington D.C., Indianapolis, and other places.
It will truly be a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity. The Chapter is already preparing for the end of year trip to Moscow, for Idaho FFA State CDE’s, which will be held the first week of June.
