When Should You be Financially Responsible

We all like money, right, but we know it doesn’t last forever, and most adults are good with money so why aren’t some teenagers good at it? According to Psychology Today we learn what our parents already know, that most people get by on less money than they want or need. This realization tells us that money gives us freedom so we tend to use it more, when we should really be saving it.

“Don’t spend money and mooch off of other people,” Sophomore Miles Morris said.

Now that we know how to save, why don’t we look at some good weekend jobs? Now some of you don’t want to work after school because you have too much going on.

“I babysit on Saturdays, and I make $50 a weekend,” Senior Willaim Crisp said.

$50 is actually pretty good for a weekend job. Now when should you actually be financially responsible?

“For me it’ll be when I get a job, so probably 17,” Sophomore Kesli Birch said.
