Madison Boys Basketball Will Take On Canyon Ridge in the District Tournament

Madison beat Highland 38-23.

This evening, the Madison High School boys basketball team faces off with the visiting Canyon Ridge Riverhawks. The Bobcats have been struggling this season, entering the district tournament with a losing record and entering this game with an 8-13 record. Canyon Ridge is coming in with an even 10-10 record.

Madison has been very efficient through out the first three quarters of basketball but they seem to struggle when the final quarter begins.

When talking to the Bobcats starting point guard Kyle Orr, he emphasized which player they needed to focus on the most this game. He said, “Connor Cartwright (their point guard) is the one we need to focus on defensively this time.”

Orr will be facing off against Cartwright at the top of the three-point line tonight. Madison and the Riverhawks have faced off twice before this season, with the Bobcats winning both games.

Madison defeated the Riverhawks with a combined score of 123-96. They will be looking to keep the streak alive and extend it to 3 straight wins against Canyon Ridge. But for the Riverhawks, is the third time the charm? Will they be able to pull off a win against this Madison team? Come tonight to find out! Tip-off is at 7:00 pm at Madison High School in the main gym.
