Most people’s favorite artist or song is based on how it makes them feel, but according to Sophomore Lenéa Benson, it’s all about the artist.
“My favorite artist is Benson Boone, I like his song Mr. Electric Blue but I also like [Boone’s] abs and his arms. He’s hot,” Benson said.

Junior Kaleb Woods differs from Benson with his taste in music.
“I’d say my favorite song is I’m Not In Love by 10cc,” Woods said.
Woods’ favorite song appears in Guardians of the Galaxy, a movie that can be considered by many to be nostalgic. Junior Preston Griffeth’s favorite song is similarly tied to a nostalgic game.
“My favorite song is Hagstorm by C418,” Griffeth said.
C418 is famously known for composing Minecraft soundtracks that have a calming effect. So, what are some songs that have the opposite vibe?
“My least favorite song is Karma by Jojo Siwa. I think anything by Jojo Siwa is annoying, except for her stuff as a kid on Kidz Bop, Boomerang is lowkey a bop,” Junior Meredith Garner said.
Junior Kyle Merjil shares a song he dislikes from a genre that’s completely different from Karma.
“The worst song ever has to be Tell Me Baby by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, it’s the worst song on planet earth. The chorus is so buns, the verse is so repetitive and I can’t stand it,” Merjil said.
Woods’ least favorite song involves a controversial artist.
“The worst song ever is definitely the new Spongebob theme song by Ice Spice, it’s called Big Guy and it’s so horrible,” Woods said.
Everyone has a guilty pleasure song, whether it be kept close to the chest because the name of the song is wack, there’s controversial opinions on the artist, or the song is just plain weird.
“My guilty pleasure song is We Are Charlie Kirk,” Benson said.
Garner’s choice of a guilty pleasure song is pretty different from Benson’s brainrot.
“I’d say it’s the Can-Can, it’s a classical song. It’s fire. I love listening to it, it puts me in a good mood,” Garner said.

To add more diversity to this guilty pleasure song list, Merjil shares a rock song with a questionable title.
“The name is super weird but the song is really good I promise, it’s called Rape Me by Nirvana. It’s from their In Utero album,” Merjil said.
