Who is Officer Boivie?

Every school in the Madison District has an officer on campus for the students’ safety. We know them as the school officers, who are armed and might give you a parking ticket, but who is he as a person?
Officer Doug Boivie has worked here at Madison High School for 13 years, and though he might seem scary, he only wants to get to know, and protect the students. He monitors the hallways, and even teaches Mrs. Grover’s PE class in the course R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defence), which is offered here at Madison.
“He’s really cool to be around, and he likes to tease us students. He’s fun when you get to know him,” Sophomore Eryn Keppner said.
There are more difficult jobs that Boivie has to do, such as punishing students who do not obey school policy, or the law. To keep everyone safe at our school, he makes sure it’s a safe environment, and a more enjoyable time at our school.
“I enjoy working here at Madison. I do, I really do, but I do look grumpy,” says Officer Boivie.
