The Orchestra Concert Experience

Preparing for the upcoming high school symphonic orchestra concert takes practice and focus. Junior Ephraim Hanks and other students prepare for the fall performance by rehearsing for weeks to make sure everything comes together perfectly.
“Getting ready for an orchestra concert is different every time, it depends on how well we practice throughout the year,” Junior Ephraim Hanks said.
For many student musicians, preparation can be both exciting and stressful, depending on how confident they feel with their pieces.
“It just really depends on how prepared I am, if I’m not very prepared it’s going to be very chaotic, I’m going to be stressed a lot but if I have things down and I know what I’m doing, things really just fall together,” said Hanks.
After the concert, the group enjoys taking time to relax and celebrate all their hard work.
“It’s a very nice time, usually we watch a movie the day after,” said Hanks.
