What To Look For In a Friend

Everyone needs a friend, but what makes a good friend? Juniors Drayson Holdaway and Rylee Harris give an insight into their friendships and what having friends mean to them.
“Having friends’ gives you a real connection at school, plus it’s good to be able to find people that you can actually talk to,” Harris said.
Everyone has redeeming qualities about themselves, and Holdaway tells us about the qualities that his friends’ have.
“They’re funny and they’re kind, and they want to spend time with me,” Holdaway said.
Not everyone is a great friend, and some qualities in people are not so redeeming. Harris shares qualities that would make him refrain from being friends with people.
“Somebody that needs you to change to actually be friends with them – for you to be friends with them you feel like you need to change,” Harris said.
Many search for certain aspects in a person, aspects that let them know the people they associate with are good, and Holdaway is one of those people who looks for good aspects in his friends.
“Someone who would give up their time for me and wouldn’t judge me,” Holdaway said.
