Should Teens Trick or Treat?

Why miss out on candy for free on a special occasion just because you're a bit older than other kids?
How old is too old to trick or treat? Early October this year a Rexburg resident shared their views on how the older teens get, they can still have fun getting candy door to door.
“Sometimes I think older kids can be a bit rowdy and not be mindful of younger kids around them so I think that makes people hesitant.I know my grandma would say that teens are too old to trick or treat simply because of their age, but I have to respectfully disagree with her on this one,” Local Rexburg resident and mom, Lacey Pridham said.
Despite understanding why some people feel that way, Pridham describes how she believes age shouldn’t be a limiting factor to having fun.
“I don’t really think there’s an age limit–as long as they’re out having a good time and being respectful of others then I am all for kids and teens trick or treating,” Pridham said.
Pridham describes how age isn’t the issue–it’s with how a lot of teens behave. She describes how respect of people and their property is the main factor of teens trick or treating.
“Like I mentioned before, as long as they’re out and are being respectful of others and their property then I think it’s great that they are out trick or treating,” Pridham said.
