Aiden Zimmer: Incredible Football Player

Football has been a major part of Aiden Zimmer’s life since he was in 4th grade. What started as a way to stay active quickly became a sport he loved, and throughout the years, Aiden built lasting friendships and achieved impressive accomplishments on the field.

“It’s a sport I love, and I met a bunch of cool people,That’s how I got a lot of friendships,” said Aiden, a junior at MHS.

Aiden’s connection to football started with flag football before transitioning to tackle.

“I started playing tackle football in 4th grade, and flag football was before then,” he said. “4th grade is where things took a turn.” Over the years, Aiden’s commitment to the game has been clear. By the time he reached his freshman year, Aiden was named Defensive MVP which is given out once a year showing your hard dedication.

“I loved freshman year football. It was probably my best year of football. I won defensive MVP, and we went undefeated as a team,” Aiden said.

Despite his success and enjoyment of the sport, Aiden decided to stop playing football after his freshman year.

“I’m done playing this year; it’s just too time-consuming for me,” Aiden said.

While Aiden is moving on from football, his time in the sport left a strong mark on both him and those who knew him.
