McDonald’s has partnered with WNBA star Angel Reese to introduce the Angel Reese Special, available nationwide from February 5, 2025. This collaboration marks McDonald’s first national meal with a female athlete. The meal features a double patty BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese, medium fries, and a medium drink, with Reese’s preferred Orange Hi-C.
The standout component is the smokey barbecue sauce, offering a bold, smoky, savory, and slightly sweet flavor that elevates the classic Quarter Pounder. Reese’s personal connection to McDonald’s adds depth to this collaboration. She is one of the best players in the WNBA and could be called the best center in the league. This partnership fulfills a childhood dream for her. She has also collaborated with Reeses Puffs to make her “Angel Reese Reeses puffs.”
The Angel Reese Special offers a delightful change to the McDonald’s classic Quarter Pounder. The Quarter Pounder makes a flavorful new barbecue sauce. It’s a satisfying meal that reflects Reese’s personal tastes and her journey from a McDonald’s fan to a celebrated partner. In my personal taste I rated the whole meal a 10 out of 10. It was a great meal overall and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
