Vintage Connoisseur
Thrifting has become more popular recently, especially among high school students. One of these students is Senior Brandon Fullmer, who has been thrifting for two years and has built an impressive wardrobe.
Fullmer has made plenty of great finds, but one stands out to him.
“My favorite find would probably have to be my Nike windbreaker crewneck I got at the DI,” Fullmer said.
Of all the thrift stores, Fullmer has a favorite.
“My favorite place to thrift would have to be the DI in Rexburg, near Denny’s. I’ve found some pretty great stuff there,” Fullmer said.
The best part of thrifting, according to Fullmer, is finding quality items at low prices.
“The cheapest thing I’ve got is my Unorthodox Jukebox Bruno Mars CD. I love Bruno Mars, so this was a steal for me,” Fullmer said.
Another highlight of thrifting is stumbling upon hilarious shirts.
“Once I found a shirt that said, ‘You can’t scare me, I have two sisters.’ I wear it every time I’m around both of my sisters,” Fullmer said.
Brandon Fullmer currently runs an Instagram account called @vintage_connoisseur, where he sells some of the items he’s found while thrifting.
“I never thought I would sell because I just liked finding clothes, but I finally gave in and started a resale account. My one rule for myself is I won’t charge more than I would pay,” Fullmer said.
Brandon is hosting his first pop-up event with his friend, Jeff Lundin (@wizardthrifting), next Wednesday in the back parking lot of Madison High School during lunch.
