Have you ever wanted to understand your fellow teenagers or, if you’re a parent, to understand? Here’s a guide to understand the most recent slang.

“I don’t really know if there is slang that I use but you see all these people use ski

bbity toilet Ohio and it’s just things that make us cringe. Cap means it’s not true, obviously no cap means it’s true. That’s wild means you said something out of pocket, I don’t know what the other stuff really is,” Junior Ryker Riding said.

Even some older people are interested in figuring out how teenagers speak now. They want to know why and what everything is. 

“It’s good, it’s like another language sometimes, it’s hard to understand. I would say that I’m fluent and I understand a lot of teen slang but I don’t speak it very well. I feel like mewing, that’s the trend right now. That’s the one. That’s the one that gets me every time. I think it’s so funny when I hear people say that,” Teacher Chapman Tagg said.

But even some students want certain slang to not be allowed to be used by anyone. Like rizz which is just trying to seduce someone.

“Honestly it’s kind of weird right now. We got the ultimate rizz, people say that and it’s kind of weird. People will say fetch or frick is kind of weird. People will talk about mewing. Just a lot of weird stuff. I don’t know if I really like it but it is what it is. “Rizz”, that word needs to be banned ok. Dude no that’s not funny,” Junior Taysen Harper said.

And some people agree that older people shouldn’t be allowed to ever use this teen slang.

“If a parent is trying to use slang from our day it’s more like yo yo homey what’s up dog. No cap. And then you know they use them all at once instead of randomly using it or using it in its correct context like people in our generation would so then it’s just awkward or weird or usually just funny,” Riding said.
