What is the Sculpture Class?
The sculpture class is always doing super fun projects. They do all sorts of projects using clay and other mediums in many ways.
“It’s just a sculpture class and it’s just all about making different types of sculptures. First we started working with clay sculptures and we made 3d sculptures of anything of our choosing and then we also made a relief carving which is just lay out the clay and you take chunks of it out to make a picture,” Isabelle Marshal said.
They use clay in different ways, but it’s not just clay. They use many different types of mediums to make their sculptures.
“Right now we’re using wire, and you basically just meld it with your hands into what you want,” Deacon Sergeant said.
Being in the sculpture class is more than just pushing wet dirt around. They need to learn the different techniques and the history of the art form. It helps you to think more creatively and it is very fun.
“It’s just really like making works of art in different ways and learning about the history about where the specific forms of sculpture came from.” Marshal said.
