Man Vs AI…..Well Almost
The Creator is a science fiction action film that follows a double agent, Joshua (John David Washington) in a war on Earth between AI and humans. The film takes place in eastern Asia where Joshua is sent to carry out a mission to find an AI weapon that could be the turning point in the war but it is overshadowed by his passion to find his missing wife. The situation develops into Joshua using the weapon to locate his wife and both sides of the war trying to locate him to use or destroy the weapon. This exciting film provides the possibilities of what could happen in the future with the advancement of AI technology.
Overall, I really enjoyed the movie as it had a lot of great parts. The movie’s main writer, Gareth Edwards, did a fabulous job in the storyline and how the film’s story unfolded. The acting by John David Washington and Madeleine Yuna Voyles (Alphie) was amazing. John’s performance in Tenet shows that this movie was gonna be great. The two actors had a great connection as the two leading characters in the movie. Madeleine was only 9 years old during the creation of the movie and she showed so much emotion in her acting. Lastly, the special effects and CGI were some of the best I have ever seen. The AI robots looked very realistic and the final scene on the ship was phenomenal. The only problems I had with the movie were the pacing and some of the common sense of the movie. The pacing of the movie was kind of slow which caused some parts of the movie to be boring. I would recommend this movie as I rate it a 4/5 stars.
