Bobcats’ number one fans share their love for Madison’s sports

Doug and Ken Sakota are Madison’s number one sports fans. They attend every sporting event possible but they’re favorite season is basketball season. “ We love the energy of basketball,” They said. “You can be down 20 points but you can cut the lead to 5 within minutes.”
The Sakotas brothers have lived in Rexburg their whole life and are Alumni of Madison high school which is a big reason why they love Madison so much. “Once we retired in 2004, we spent more time going to games and tournaments. We got to know the players and their families.” They stated. “Madison’s sports are like an addiction to us, once we started going, we couldn’t stop. It is just the thing to do here in Rexburg.”
The Sakota brothers have been to countless Madison basketball games but their favorite was in 2011 when the Bobcats won the state championship. “The game came down to a last second shot, how could we forget that game.”
Doug and Ken have been diehard fans of the Madison Bobcats their whole life and don’t plant on stopping anytime soon. “We love Madison and will always support them. Go Bobcats!”
