The New Generation of Xbox
The Xbox Series S has 75% of the sales for the Xbox Series X/S even though it is a less powerful console. The Xbox Series S is part of the newest generation of video game consoles. The Series S is considerably smaller than the previous generation as it is only 10.8 inches tall and weighs only 4.25 pounds. While the Xbox One weighs almost double at 8.4 pounds. It is smooth, sleek, and like its name implies it’s a box. The Xbox Series S is designed to give a great gaming experience for a reasonable price. The Xbox series S has a brother console, the Xbox series X. The series X is more powerful than the series S and has more storage but at almost double the price. The Xbox Series S has some pretty good specs, especially for being as small as it is. It has 10 GB of RAM. and 224 GB/s of memory bandwidth. 3.6GHz CPU speed. The previous generation Xbox One only had 8GB RAM, 68.3 GB/s of memory bandwidth, and 1.75GHz CPU speed.
There are some downsides to the Xbox Series S. The Series S does not have a disc drive meaning you can not play any discs on this console. It also does not have very much storage; it comes with 512 GB of storage. With some popular games being as large as 100 GB and many other medium-sized games being around 50 GB there’s a shortage of storage on the series S. You can buy an external hard drive but those can get pricey. The Xbox series S and X are constantly being compared. The Series X is more powerful, has plenty of storage, and has a disc drive. But the series S appeals to the more casual player; it still allows you to play the new games coming out with good graphics and speed for a considerably lower price than its counterpart.
