The moment everyone has been waiting for, Miss Madison is right around the corner. This year’s pageant is going to be one of the best and is a great opportunity for the girls of Madison High School to show off their skills and talents on the stage.

“I did Miss Madison last year and I also did Distinguished Young Women and it’s a great opportunity to get scholarships for college,” Senior Rozlynn Evans said.

Miss Madison is a great program to participate in, though watching the pageant may make it look enjoyable and easy, these girls go through lots of preparation to look as amazing as they do on stage.

“Preparing for Miss Madison is super stressful. It’s really time consuming if you’re not on the ball of things. Lots of things get thrown at you and you just have to go with the flow. Practices are really early and they are different every day. Sometimes you do fitness, sometimes you do poise, sometimes interview stuff it just depends on the practice,” Junior Megan Rydalch said.

Being in a pageant you would think that all the girls are very competitive and aren’t trying to make friends during the process but that’s not the case for the Miss Madison Pageant.

“All the girls are super nice and everyone lifts each other up. It’s fun getting involved with the pageant,” Junior Lannea Dummar said.
