Now that it’s October, the excitement of the season starts to build as the foreign exchange students from Madison High School are excited to experience an American Halloween celebration.

“For the teenagers it is just an opportunity for them to get together and go to some parties, people in Italy do not really dress up,” Senior Emma Cavalli from Italy said.

Some foreign exchange students might only be in America for the Halloween celebration.

“People in Germany get mad at you when you trick or treat, they say it’s from America and to go to America if you want to celebrate it,” Senior Luca Schultz from Germany said.

Now that the exchange students are in the U.S., they get to celebrate Halloween the way it should be celebrated. With candy, haunted things, dressing up and all things Halloween.

“Generally you don’t celebrate in Brazil but I am going to dress up, I am very excited to celebrate Halloween in America,” Senior Ana Clara Matias from Brazil said.
