With the end of the school year fast approaching, senior grads are forced to encounter their own futures. Whether it be a church mission, a job, or going to college. We ask several seniors anxious to graduate how they have enjoyed their senior year and what they plan on doing from here on.

“Some of the biggest highlights of this year were definitely football season, and I like going to all of the basketball games, and seeing all of my friends at school. I feel so happy to finally be done with school and for it to almost be over. I’m not totally sure what my plan is for after graduation but I’ll probably work and then go to college,” senior Justin Anderson said.

The senior class of 2023 look back fondly on their senior year and will always have long lasting memories of the school.

“Some of my personal highs this year were making the basketball team just because I have always dreamed of playing and so it just really awesome to make it for my senior year, another highlight was a cross country race called salmon this year it was a super hilly race and it was really hard but I was in a close pack the whole race and it came down to the end between me and another kid for 3rd place and I was able to put kick him and that just felt really awesome,” senior Daxton Webb said.

The seniors also look forward to the impact they will make in this world even if they may not know what they are doing at the moment.

“I feel a little nervous to be out of high school just because I don’t really know what I want to do but I’m excited because right after high school I’m going to serve a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,” Webb said.

Senior Amberlyn Day had looked ahead and  taken a hold of her own future when she recently applied and was accepted to be one of Utah states ambassadors.

“In Logan there’s a bunch of different types of ambassadors that kind of represent the face of the school. We can do anything from tours to coming to highschools and serving aggie ice cream. We answer any questions about the campus for people and we inform them on anything they might want to know,” Day said.

Being an ambassador of your dream school may be all you want in life, but the opportunity is setting Amberlyn up for a successful life and an awesome education.

“I heard about it through a friend, and I heard the scholarship was big enough to get me through college. Utah state was really the place that I wanted to go so it sounded like an awesome plan to me. I looked into it more and the requirements were just some of the things that I was already involved in and doing here, so it was really exciting to me,” Day said.

For those of you who may be as bold as Amberlyn, she expresses the reward and sense of accomplishment she has felt from pursuing her passions and goals.

“When I was accepted for the scholarship and to be ambassador it was probably like the most successful feeling I’ve had. It really is just a huge accomplishment for me and my future,” Day said.
