Bobcats finally beat Knights

The Madison Bobcats finally beat the Hillcrest knights. “We have been talking about playing this
team and beating them ever since we lost to them last year and we finally beat them,” said
Berrett Wilson. First time playing them this season they only lost by 4. The second time we beat
them we beat them 81-67. It was an intense game the whole time.
Isaac Davis (Hillcrest) got the tip off and made the first basket of the game. Camdyn
Allred (Madison) made two three pointers to start the game off for our team. Camdyn goes up
for a third 3 pointer, but misses it Berrett Wilson (Madison) came out of nowhere and got that
rebound and put it right back up. Berrett battled to take Isaac into the basket and made an easy
layup. Six minutes into the game the score is 12-4 and the Hillcrest Knights call a timeout. Ike
gets the pass and goes up for a deep 3 pointer and misses it. Nash Humphries (Madison) had
an awesome crossover which made an open shot for him, and he made it. 20-12 at the end of
the first quarter. Berrett has made 8 points and Camdyn has made 6.
Berrett starts the 2 quarter of great he makes a good layup then shoots a 3 pointer and
makes both of those shots. He goes up for a layup, but makes a turnover then gets it back and
dunked it, but it didn’t count because he “double dribbled”. The crowd was fired up again after
that really bad call. Talan Taylor (Hillcrest) made a great wide open pass to Isaac under the
basket and Isaac dunks it. Towards the end of the second quarter Ike made his first two points
of the game. At the end of the second quarter the score was 36-20. Berrett made 15 points out
of 16 points in the second quarter. Nash made one free throw.
Start of the third quarter Chase Crane (Madison) made a great layup. After, Nash made
a wide open pass to Luke Watson (Madison) to drive in for a layup and made it. Luke makes
another lay up. Camdyn goes up for a three and drains it. End of the third quarter the score was
Start of fourth quarter Berrett goes up for a layup and misses, but gets his own rebound
and goes right back up and makes it. Chase got fouled and made both his free throws. Two
minutes left of the game Isaac goes up, dunks it and makes it. He landed wrong on his ankle
and caused him to be taken out for the rest of the game. Madison gets the ball with 15 seconds
left and they just let the clock run down. Final score was 81-67. Berrett had 39 points total.
