The 2020 Super Bowl is expected to be the most expensive Super Bowl yet. Overall fans are expected to spend an estimated $17.2 billion dollars.

Millions will be spent on food, drinks, team apparel/accessories, TVs, and decorations. The host cities alone are estimated to bring in over $500 million dollars.

This year the super bowl will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The stadium holds 65,326 people and ticket costs range from $950 to $5,000.

While the halftime performers don’t get paid anything for the show, the NFL covers all the costs of production of the show.

Everyone’s favorite part, the commercials, is one of the most expensive. A normal 30-second ad costs the company about 5.6 million to run. This year presidential candidate, Mike Bloomberg spent the most on commercials with a $10 million dollar 60-second ad.

Everyone involved in the game gets a huge bonus as well. The referees get a bonus anywhere from 30,000 and $50,000 for the game. The winning team’s players will earn an extra $118,000 each. The losing team receives about $59,000 as well. NFL announcers make about $1 million a season.
