The cold weather, and winter activities such as skiing, sledding or ice-skating can get you in the mood for something warm and filling. Hot chocolate with its many different flavors and toppings, can be a great snack for anytime during the year. You can be into the regular hot chocolate or into mint hot chocolate with marshmallows. You can be into having water or milk or both in your cocoa. You can be expressive and true to you when you make yourself or have someone else make you this seasonal drink.

“I drink it in the morning, especially when it’s winter, but just whenever I feel like it.” said Junior Jackson LaBaugh.

Winter seems to be the best time to drink hot chocolate, because it helps to chase away the cold.

“I like to dip buttered toast in my hot chocolate.” said LaBaugh.

Other people have their own additions that they like to put in their hot chocolate such as: candy canes, marshmallows, ice cream, whipped cream, and more. LaBaugh’s favorite flavor is straight up hot chocolate, because every time he has had a fruity flavor it’s been absolutely disgusting. Even though LaBaugh chooses to drink plain hot chocolate, there are many different flavors to make this beverage your own.
