On Feb. 28, 2017, Rexburg added Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers to it’s list of restaurants. This new business will have to compete with many other fast food and sit down restaurants that have been in town since members of Rexburg can remember.
Freddy’s is a nationwide burger joint that moved to the small town of Rexburg. They’re famous for serving frozen custard and steakburgers even though they have many other options on their menu to choose from.
“Their burgers are made out of steak. It’s unique and the feel is different than all of the other restaurants here,” Senior Diego Sanchez said when asked what he thinks about Freddy’s.
There are a lot of other restaurants that have been favored over Freddy’s by the students of MHS.
“I like Frontier Pies, I like the food there. It’s just different I guess,” Junior Mckenzie Remington said.
Rexburg, even being known for having copious amounts of potatoes, has restaurants that serve culturally diverse foods.
“I like Costa-Vida. I like the different flavors, even though I live here in Idaho and all of us like potatoes, I like the different cultures and flavors of their foods,” Senior Lyric Evans said.
