Dating in high school can be stressful and awkward if you don’t know what to do. Students at MHS share their advice on dating through their own experiences.

Coming up with a fun and creative date isn’t always easy. Finding an activity that is cheap and enjoyable for everyone is sometimes tricky with limited attractions in Rexburg.

“The best date I have ever been on was one where we just went and did whatever we wanted off the top of our heads, we got in the car and flipped a coin to see what road to turn down and we ended up in crazy places.” Senior Jacob Peck said.

When asking someone on a date, there is always the issue of finding the right group to join that will make you and your date comfortable.

“It is all about the people you are with. Just have a good time and be yourself. If you get out of your bubble and have fun then everyone will have a good time.” Senior Brady Dunn said.

Although dating in high school is fun, there are always those dates that end up being a disaster either due to the activity or because of the people you are with.

“The worst date that I have ever been on is when we had everything planned out to the minute. Once we finished one thing we moved to the next thing. I just remember being so stressed out.” Junior Sarah Crawford said.

Dating in high school doesn’t always have to be difficult. If you plan the right activities and go with the right people it can be really fun.

“Go on lots of dates, don’t make excuses not to go on dates.” Senior Hannah Moore said.
