Last week, February 5th-9th was Hello Week at MHS, every day they do something to make people feel involved

“We don’t want any students to feel left out or isolated or depressed at all so we try to lift their spirits by always saying hello and befriending them and we have multiple things we do throughout the week to try to include the students in what we’re doing,” Mr. Klassen said.

The Student Council is one of the main groups doing the things for Hello Week.

“We went to different elementary schools and said hello to kids and had posters and handed out pop sockets and just a bunch of like pencils and stuff to kids,” Senior Layton Dameron said.

Administrators think that Hello Week is a great way to get students involved.

“I think Hello Week is actually really awesome there’s just a different feeling around the school and I hear kids down the hall saying hello to kids they don’t usually talk to so I think we’re definitely uplifting the school spirit,” Mr. Klassen said.
