As the upcoming season for BPA rolls around, MHS students prepare for the regional tournament by studying, practicing, and preparing for their individual events.

Student describes the struggles of preparing for the upcoming season and how he has prepared for his events.

“So we had to change our entire idea,” Senior Jayson Wade said, “It turned out our idea was great, but it didn’t meet what the BPA council wants on our video so I have six days to go back and totally remake the whole film.”

Although students face struggles while preparing, BPA president sheds light on how team competitors prepare.

“The students in BPA have done lots to prepare for their events on their own time,” BPA president Amy Mortimer said, “I think that we have a good chance as a school to go far in the upcoming competitions.”

While preparing for the upcoming tournament, not only does practice help, but also being able to pick your events. BPA advisor describes how some schools specialize in some events because there are only certain classes they teach.

“Well it is true that every student is supposed to choose their events, but where we teach some classes like accounting that other schools don’t teach sometimes that gives us a strength in that area,” BPA advisor Mrs. Barzee said.
