New Years Traditions at MHS

The traditions of MHS students help bring cheer by sharing things to do for New Years.

A student describes past experience in New York when he lived there.

“While we lived in New York we went and saw the place where they have all the different balls that they actually dropped so that was kinda fun to go see,” Sophomore Kyler Robinson said, “They also have a wall where you can write your resolutions on.”

While some traditions and experiences are more unique some are more relaxed and traditional. A student explains what his family does as a tradition on New Years.

“On New Years we get out our fondue pot and fry up some chocolate and then we pour some milk into it and it’s like this creamy chocolaty substance and we do fondue,” Senior Christian Eggett said.

While some people focus on New Years others make the transition from Christmas on New Years. Student shares their take on New Year’s traditions and destroying the gingerbread house they built for Christmas.

“We destroy our gingerbread houses that we made on Black Friday so they are all stale and gross,” Junior Joshua Bailey said.
