Spooky Shows Suit MHS Students

Halloween is approaching and the spooky spirit is in the air. During the Halloween season some students at MHS enjoy the Disney and animated spins on the holiday.

“I don’t like scary movies, that’s for sure,” Junior Caleb Lyons said.

Some students choose to watch movies that aren’t scary.

“I like happy Halloween movies like Halloween Town and Twitches because I find them entertaining,” Senior Kate Miller said.

Watching Halloween movies can help students enjoy Halloween without being too scared.

“Every Halloween I would just watch the Disney Channel ones. They’re cute and they’re not too scary,” Senior Kylee Stoddard said.

Disney’s Halloween movies influence people of all ages and stick with some people for many years.

“I’ve been watching them since I was a little kid and I just don’t like anything scary so they’re like my level for scary movies,” Miller said.

For some students these movies are a Halloween tradition.

“I just remember waking up with my sister and going to watch them, it was kind of like our thing,” Stoddard said.

Overall these shows make the Halloween season a more positive experience than Horror films might.

“The old Disney Channel shows are really fun and happy but also have a mystery with them,” Miller said.
