MHS students get hungry during class. Their solution is bringing food and eating it. The teachers have a few ideas about it.

“I don’t mind if kids eat in my classroom but I don’t let them eat in my lab. I let them eat as long as it’s not distracting, like an entire pizza,” Mrs. Decker said.

Human Biology teacher Mrs. Decker is okay with eating in the classroom as long as it’s not distracting. Some students eat everyday and have a routine.

“I think eating in the classroom is good, I like it. I usually eat during second and third hour because that’s when I get hungry. It’s when breakfast is wearing off so I get hungry again. I eat sandwiches, chips, anything that is easy,” Junior Devin Smith said

Smith likes eating in the classroom and has certain hours that he likes eating in Mr. Chavez has an idea about every hour.

“When they are sitting there munching on something during a lecture or group activity it’s distracting. During their time affects only them. It’s meeting in the middle with them,” Mr. Chavez said.
