You probably noticed the horses and tractors outside by the AG building today. The FFA invited 4th graders from different schools to come and experience what FFA is like for their AG expo (agricultural expo). They plan this activity every year. FFA is very active in the community and our school.

The fourth graders were shown tractors, animals, plants along with welding techniques and other workshops. Each studentunspecified had the
opportunity to build a recipe holder while learning about how to work with wood.

In one of the stations the students will learn about skulls and pelts. Another group they learned what the FFA is about and what they do. In the greenhouse they get to plant their own plants and learn how to do it.

Sophomore Owen Wetzel, a member of the FFA club  was showing the children and said a lot of work goes into each exhibit

“Yeah it usually it takes quite a bit of planning to get all of this and we have to talk to teachers to borrow their classroom if we need to use them,” Wetzel said.

The FFA has no upcoming event until late October. The forestry team is heading to nationals, so wish them luck.
